Probable barber-surgeon in Bow 1755
This illustration shows the Register of Duties Paid for Apprentices' Indentures in 1755
Entry 110 appears to show that Samuel Forloavon of Bow nimetracey Barber&c had an apprentice named George Marden. The barber-surgeons did a certain amount of medical treatment e.g. tooth pulling and bone setting, but I am unable to find any reference to this chap, including several variations of the surname. In 1745 the barbers and the surgeons became separate professions.
So who is "Samuel Forloavon"?
Any information about the above would be gratefully received.
